Visual Merchandising Window Display

In Visual Merchandising we have, like, a billion window displays to do....well, more like 5'ish- possibly more.  About a week ago we (we = me + 5 fabulous ladies) finished our first window.  There were plenty of obstacles and it was very time-consuming.  We had to start with a sketch, then photoshop, then of course, the actual window.  Although it wasn't so great to spend 75% of my week building a window display when I had 3 test, it still was a lot of fun. The brand we picked was Anthropologie.  Anthropologie was a pretty intimidating brand to choose because they're known for having AMAZING window displays- which makes it hard for a few college girls on a budget to measure up.  It may have been intimidating, and it may have been hard.... but I'm just going to tell you: it's the bomb (yes, I just said 'the bomb').   It was our first window, we had a very large one, and we had a budget.  On top of that, Anthroplogie is also known for using recycled products- so, of course, we had to incorporate that (without looking cheap).  These are just SOME of the obstacles we faced...but, I'll stop boring you with all the details (that probably only interest me anyway).  So, how about we see some Anthroplogie Awesomeness....

Here's our Photoshop:
(The blue dress is just an example of some kind of Anthro merchandise)

Actual Window:

Close Up of Flowers:
(Just guess how we made these adorable flowers! Cut off the tops of water bottles, cut slits in them, painted 'petals', then even painted the inside of the screw top and screwed back on.  Creative huh?! We then wrapped pipe cleaners around them, as the 'stem' of course.)

You'll never guess how we got all these wine bottles :)
(that was the easiest part of the whole window)

Tissue Paper Balls

                                                                Brighter, but blury..

I believe it was a success! More importantly, our teacher did too!

.....You're probably tired of seeing pictures- but this is more to show you what my new camera can do! It's so fun!

Pretty awesome huh?  Well, it is to me!
